Our single layer system for ventilation air ductwork requires significantly less material than previous double layer systems. Waste materials are expected to be half of previous requirements for this system and offcuts are recyclable into firestops and alternative products (see MR Credit 2.1 & 2.2).

The CL4FIRE fire protection thermal insulation system does not require mudding of joints and sanding as would be experienced with gypsum drywall fire protection methods for ductwork. Hence, dust in the construction environment should be significantly reduced.
